A portfolio transition is a pivotal event to an investor. Transition costs related to broad-based asset allocation and/or investment manager changes can have a significant impact on portfolio performance.

An investor can better prepare for a transition by addressing a few simple questions:

  • Will my transition be simple or complex?
  • Can I benefit from the use of a transition manager?
  • What am I transitioning - cash or securities?
  • What are the risks?
  • What are my responsibilities?
  • How will I measure success?

GE Asset Management has extensive expertise in the transition of plan assets and each transition plan is structured with the goal of minimizing costs and maximizing client value. GE Asset Management has the capability to act as transition manager or liaison to a client’s designated transition manager to provide comprehensive management and operational oversight of a transition of plan assets.

Each client is assigned a relationship manager to work with the client and/or client designated transition manager. The relationship manager assembles a team of professionals to create and review pre-trade analysis, trading alternatives, through post-trade analytics.
