We seek long-term growth of capital by investing primarily in high quality U.S. large capitalization companies with attractive business profiles.
We believe that a consistently applied active fundamental bottom-up approach to U.S. equity investing can produce superior long-term investment returns. By combining three independent strategies, managed by GEAM’s senior team of U.S. Equity portfolio managers, we seek to produce a broadly diversified portfolio designed to deliver alpha while maintaining a below-average risk profile.
The strategy is a roll-up of three underlying portfolios, each independently managed by a senior member of GEAM’s U.S. equity portfolio management team. The “U.S. Core Value Equity” sleeve of this strategy targets attractively valued stocks across all sectors with a catalyst for change over a three- to four year period. The “U.S. Disciplined Growth Equity” sleeve uses a “growth at a reasonable price” approach to target companies with dominant market share and predictable, above-average growth. The “U.S. Research Select Equity” or “best ideas,” portion captures the top overweights of our research analysts, and serves to amplify the weightings in those stocks in which we have the greatest degree of conviction. GEAM’s Chief Investment Officer for U.S. Equities provides oversight to sustain the optimal allocation within the overall portfolio.
