We seek long-term growth of capital by investing in a select group of undervalued U.S. large capitalization companies.
We believe a concentrated portfolio of low-expectation, low-multiple stocks will produce superior long-term investment returns. We seek investment candidates that are endorsed by our research team and possess a catalyst that will unlock shareholder value.

- Utilize high-conviction internal analyst recommendations
- Leverage insights from GE’s Global Network
The U.S. Select Value Equity team begins with a universe of approximately750 stocks (S&P 500 plus other large capitalization securities). Of this universe, 400+ are closely followed on a daily basis by the U.S. Equity research team. The strategy holds between 30-40 stocks, and generally focuses on the highest-conviction recommendations of GEAM’s U.S. Equity research team. These securities also must meet our value investment criteria of low-expectation, low-multiple stocks that we believe possess a catalyst to unlock shareholder value. A typical candidate for the GEAM U.S. Select Value strategy has a market capitalization greater than $3 billion. Important fundamental criteria considered for inclusion in the strategy include financial condition, management quality, strategic direction, improving business mix, industry fundamentals and ability to grow market share. Once a stock is sold, the proceeds are then reinvested into what we believe to be more compelling large cap value investments.
